Norvergence went bankrupt!
Did you know Norvergence is going belly up?  It has been almost 2 weeks. Norvergence set up a scheme with Financial institutions to underwrite Router and VoIP equipment. They locked customers in no matter what, even if Norvergence went bankrupt and they did the customer owes $$$ per month for 3 years, usually totaling $13K or so.  There are more than say 4-5 institutions that financed this.

Legal Co-operative Formed For Norvergence's Customers Who Are TAA Members 

At the request of TAA end-user members who are also Norvergence customers, TAA has founded a legal co-operative for Norvergence customers. 

 The following services will be provided to the co-op as afforded by co-op funding levels:

 Legal representation in the Newark, New Jersey Norvergence bankruptcy proceedings. THE NEXT HEARING IS TOMORROW, WEDNESDAY JULY 14TH 
Objection to Qwest, Sprint & T-Mobile's motion to terminate services without giving Norvergence customers the opportunity to find new providers

Motion to allow Norvergence customers the opportunity to transfer their cell phone numbers back to their own accounts

Background information on the Norvergence case including filed bankruptcy proceedings

Daily updates to the proceedings of the bankruptcy case and the discovery work regarding the rental agreements/equipment leases

Written legal opinions regarding the validity of the equipment rental agreements signed by Norvergence customers and sold by Norvergence as equipment leases to third party leasing companies

Legal support for challenging rental agreement/equipment leases assuming that a legal basis exists for such a challenge

Other services as requested by legal co-op members If you are a Norvergence customer who would like to join this legal co-op, send an email to Robert Bennett at phonecards@cyberscans.com  He will provide you with more info on how to join.

Norvergence customers who already have their own attorneys looking into the matter are welcome to join the legal co-op as a way to lower their legal expenses by having the legal co-op provide their attorney with background discovery work.

 TAA will not provide any legal advice or write any legal opinions for the co-op. TAA will support the co-op by providing administrative support and by making sure all TAA members who are Norvergence customers know about the legal co-op so they will have the opportunity to participate if they wish.
