RECEIVING
IMAGES BY EMAIL
When
you receive your email with the scans, it will take a while (time wise)
to get the message into your computer. You can figure about 1 minute
for each picture you had scanned. Be aware of this so you will not
be surprised when your email seems to take a long time.
If
you have Windows 95, you should be able to see the lights "blinking" on
your modem or on the task bar confirming information really is coming in.
After your email is into your computer, it depends on your Browser what
procedure to follow. On Netscape(the one we use), you will be able
to see all your pictures right on your screen.
To
use them in your computer, you need to click ON the picture with your RIGHT
mouse button (the OTHER button) and then "Save this image as". This will
save the image to your hard drive even after you log off, then you
can use it to attach to email or whatever else you want to do with it.
One
word of caution, be sure to remember where you save the picture file on
your hard drive. We recommend you make a new folder on the C: drive and
call it "My Pictures" and put them a ll in there. Then you will always
know where the picture files are. After you have them safely on your
hard drive, you can rename your picture files to a more suitable name other
than what generic name we have given them.
If
you have questions, feel free to e-mail
us. |
